Stroke Prevention for Women
Why women need a different conversation about the stroke prevention guidelines
Available 22nd August 2026
Whilst there are campaigns to ‘recognise’ a stroke, far less attention is given to helping women understand the factors that influence their risk long before one ever happens.
Women are told to eat a healthy diet, be more active, manage their stress, sleep eight hours and stay a healthy weight. That advice isn’t wrong, it is just far too broad and incomplete.
🌀 What does “eat a healthy diet” really mean?
🌀 Does “be more active” mean walking, running, joining a gym or lifting weights? Is housework or gardening enough?
🌀 Why do so few women know that stroke risk increases around the time of menopause?
This book is the different conversation women deserve. Not more health information, but deeper explanations, practical guidance and the confidence to understand what the guidelines really mean and how they apply to real life.
Love, love, love this.
Easy to read, no jargon, ideas for changes that are easy to do.
