Wednesday 25th March 2026 : 1pm (GMT)If you’ve ever wondered whether you could safely support a stroke survivor in your work, or you’ve said no because you weren’t sure where your role begins and ends, this this workshop is for you.
Maybe a client or family member has asked for help after stroke and you didn’t feel confident saying yes.
Maybe you work in health, fitness or wellbeing and want to support stroke recovery, but aren’t sure what sits safely within your scope.
Or maybe you’ve simply realised that stroke recovery is far more complex than speech and movement alone.
In this live online workshop I’ll walk you through what non-clinical professionals need to understand about stroke recovery to support people safely, ethically and confidently within your role.
There will be a limited time replay available if you can’t join live.
- Wednesday 25th March
- 1pm (GMT)
By the end of this workshop you will:
✅ Understand why stroke recovery is about far more than re-learning to walk and talk
✅ Gain a clearer understanding of what stroke recovery can look like in real life, including how knowledge and memories are still there – just harder to access
✅ Learn why repetition, patience and the right environment help the brain build new pathways for recovery
✅ Recognise some of the hidden cognitive and emotional challenges stroke survivors may be navigating
✅ Understand how important role non-clinical professionals play in supporting recovery safely and ethically
You will leave this workshop with greater clarity about how stroke recovery unfolds after hospital discharge and how steady, supportive guidance can make a meaningful difference during the long gaps between clinical sessions.
And most importantly, you will understand how structured training can give you the confidence to say yes to supporting stroke survivors without feeling like you’re guessing.
This workshop is PERFECT for:
✅ Fitness professionals, personal trainers and group exercise instructors who may be asked to support stroke survivors but want to do so safely and responsibly
✅ Yoga and Pilates teachers, therapists, carers and health coaches who want a clearer understanding of stroke recovery in a non-clinical setting
✅ Professionals working in health, fitness or wellbeing who want to support stroke survivors but aren’t always sure where their role begins and ends
✅ Anyone who wants to better understand the realities of stroke recovery in the community and how simple, safe support can make a meaningful difference
You don’t need previous experience working with stroke survivors.
You don’t need clinical training.
And you don’t need to have all the answers.
You simply need a genuine desire to support people safely, ethically and confidently within your professional role.
Hi, I’m Victoria
I’ve been working in the fitness and wellbeing industry for over 20 years, primarily helping women through purposeful exercise and supportive lifestyle strategies.
My work has always been rooted in empathy, adaptability and evidence-based care. But my perspective on recovery and long-term health became deeply personal when my dad had a stroke.
Our family was suddenly navigating the world of stroke recovery with very little guidance and limited support. We were left searching for answers, piecing together information and trying to support his recovery without a clear path forward.
It was overwhelming, isolating and exhausting and sadly a reality many families face.
That experience opened my eyes to a huge gap in support. While medical care is essential, what’s often missing is the steady, real-world help that keeps people moving forward between appointments and long after hospital discharge.
Through the CPD in Stroke Rehab Support, I now help health, fitness and wellbeing professionals understand how they can support stroke survivors safely and confidently within their role, not by replacing clinical care, but complementing it in the times that matter most.
